# Move from iCloud Mail to Nextmail.

Make an app-specific password at Apple and your iCloud mailbox is copied here, with its folders, contacts and calendars. The old mailbox is only read, never changed.

## Four steps, and your mail is here.

1. 01
   
   Make an app-specific password
   
   At account.apple.com, open Sign-In and Security, then App-Specific Passwords. Your Apple Account needs two-factor authentication.
2. 02
   
   Choose its address
   
   Add your domain here, or pick an address you already have. The mail is filed under it.
3. 03
   
   Start the import
   
   Open Migrations, choose From a mailbox, enter the old address and paste the password. Check the mailbox, then start. You can close the page while it runs.
4. 04
   
   Bring your address
   
   On a custom domain, publish the DNS records Nextmail lists. Keep an icloud.com address by connecting it in Addresses, and its new mail arrives here too.
