Merged inboxes
One list, or the few you answer.
Mail to every address you hold lands in one stream. Tick the few you work out of in the sidebar switcher, or read them all together.
In short
What is a merged inbox?
A merged inbox, also called a unified inbox, shows several addresses as one list instead of a mailbox each. Every message still belongs to the address it was sent to.
How it works
Everything, minus the one you unticked
An empty filter means every address, so unticking one leaves you with all the others. The last one stays ticked, because nothing selected is how everything is stored.
The narrowed view is saved
Each workspace keeps its own selection, as whole domains and single addresses. It syncs to your account, so it survives a reload and follows you to other devices. Anything that no longer resolves is dropped.
Addresses nobody created get one row
A catch-all domain ends its group with one *@domain row for addresses that exist only because mail arrived. Tick it alone to read those. Create one yourself and it gets its own row.
What you get
In the product today
Any combination
Tick as many addresses as you like, across as many domains.
Whole domain, one press
A Whole domain row in each group selects every address on it at once.
Search the switcher
Type part of an address or a domain to find it fast.
Stale picks fall back
If nothing you picked still resolves, you get the merged view instead.
Good practice
Getting the most out of it
- 01
Leave it merged
Read everything in one list and narrow only when one address is the whole job.
- 02
Pick the whole domain
Tick Whole domain and addresses you add to it later join the view on their own.
- 03
Tick the bucket alone
To read what a catch-all caught, tick only its *@domain row.
