Which address do I enter?

Your iCloud Mail address, the one ending in icloud.com, me.com or mac.com, not another address you sign in to Apple with.

Do contacts and calendars come too?

Yes, over the same password when you leave their switches on. Contacts join no audience, and nobody on an imported event is emailed.

Will the import send anything?

No. Imported mail is not run through your rules, forwarded or announced, and running it twice adds nothing.

Make an app-specific password
At account.apple.com, open Sign-In and Security, then App-Specific Passwords. Your Apple Account needs two-factor authentication.

Choose its address
Add your domain here, or pick an address you already have. The mail is filed under it.

Start the import
Open Migrations, choose From a mailbox, enter the old address and paste the password. Check the mailbox, then start. You can close the page while it runs.

Bring your address
On a custom domain, publish the DNS records Nextmail lists. Keep an icloud.com address by connecting it in Addresses, and its new mail arrives here too.
